Burn the Rope Worlds Review One of the favorite Android puzzle games is Burn the Rope Worlds. It presents interesting gameplay that suits the android devices perfectly, it brings a fresh new twist to the puzzle video game genre, and it revitalizes a decade old game that has been present since the Nokia 3210 days. At first, I was skeptical to play this game because it had: 1. A lame title - œBurn the Rope my how interesting; and 2. Lame screenshots -“ before downloading the game, I was presented with different images of, well, a rope that is burning. Aside from the two stinkers given above, the game is pretty much perfect. It has gameplay that is seamlessly suited for touch and motion controls that I could not imagine playing it using a keypad or even a gamepad. The concept of the game is really simple -“ players have to burn a given tangle of ropes in order to proceed to the next level. Players get a gold, silver or bronze medal depending on the percentage of rope burned for that level. The game is not as simple as one might think. Players could ignite a flame on any portion of the rope by touching it, but this could only be done at the start of the level. Once the flame is ignited, players have to rotate their Android device in order to make the flame burn upwards and keep it from dying out (flames could not burn downward). The player'™s ability to control the direction of the fire would be key to success in this game. To make things even more interesting, different bugs are scattered throughout the ropes to be burned. These cuddly little insects each give off a different effect when scorched. The fire bug for instance disburses fire in all directions when burned, while a spider would let off a web which fire could follow. As if burning ropes weren'™t enough, an entirely different type of game is provided for players to enjoy - snake. This game has been around since the inception of cellphones and has been revitalized here in this game. All in all, Burn the Rope for Android is a great puzzle game that could be enjoyed by people of all ages. Just go to the Google Play Store and search for this game. It's free to download and play. It doesn't need an internet connection and does not show any annoying ads. I give the game a rating of 4.5 stars out of 5.
